Pi Day
On 14 March, we celebrated Pi Day. To connect Maths with some fun, we decided to offer pupils in Years 5 and 6 the chance to enter a competition. The challenge was simple: memorise as much of Pi as possible and recite it to the class. The finalists competed against each other in the Hall in front of all Years 5 and 6. I was so pleased with the effort the girls went to and how much enthusiasm there was. A big congratulations to Molly in Year 6 for reciting a jaw dropping 178 digits. Away from the competition, Leila in Year 6 was able to recite a phenomenal 220 digits. We will be entering this achievement into the Pi World Ranking List.
