A Level French trip to Paris!
This past weekend, our A Level French students embarked on an enriching trip to Paris, immersing themselves in both cultural exploration and community service.
On Saturday afternoon, the group dedicated their time to volunteering at the Parisian homeless charity, O Coeur de la Rue, following a talk about the voluntary sector. Guided by their French A level curriculum, they actively participated in meal preparation, extending support to the local homeless community.
They also enjoyed scenic boat trip along the Seine River aboard the iconic Bateaux Mouches, marveling at the breathtaking views of Paris’s landmarks.
The itinerary continued with various sightseeing, including a visit to the majestic L’Arc de Triomphe, where they absorbed the historical significance of the monument. At the renowned Louvre Museum, the group embarked on a guided tour conducted entirely in French, exploring ‘les chefs d’oeuvre’ (‘works of art’) and delving into the artistic treasures housed within its walls.
The trip concluded with a visit to Montmartre, where the group ascended to Le Sacré Coeur, the grand white church atop the hill, offering panoramic views of the city below.
