Human Rights Fair

GHS celebrated International Women’s Day with a ‘Wear it Purple’ non-uniform day and our own Human Rights Fair! Students engaged in learning about what it means to be a UN Rights Respecting School, met representatives from Action for Africa, the partner charity for our Lower Sixth expedition to Tanzania this summer, which will focus on period poverty projects, funded by the non-uniform day. Our student-led Amnesty International, Pride and Equality Societies also hosted stalls, educating students about global issues, and inspiring them to become advocates for change within their own communities. Our Tycoon Enterprise businesswomen added another dimension, showcasing and selling their goods. This initiative not only empowers our young business owners but also highlights the importance of economic empowerment in achieving gender equality.
