Year 8 visit to Brooklands Museum

Nine Year 8 pupils made the trip to Brooklands Museum to take part in the Brooklands Innovation Academy. The day involved a range of interactive, hands-on workshops that gave pupils an insight into where a career in STEM might take them, from agronomy to civil engineering, and from microbiology to Formula One! They were also hugely excited to listen to a range of inspirational speakers, including a talk on mathematics from the award-winning author Simon Singh, and an exploration of the physics of black holes from the one and only Professor Brian Cox. The pupils got a lot out of the day and returned to school excited about their future in STEM!
