Highly Commended in Classics!
GHS attended the Classical Reading Competition at St Catherine’s this week, organised by the Guildford Classical Association. Following internal auditions, finalists recited a pre-prepared passage in front of a panel of judges, and several schools from the Surrey area participated.
Our team performed admirably and enjoyed great success, with special mention to:
- Junior Latin Duologue: Mahika and Sanika – highly commended.
- Intermediate Latin Solo: Izzy – highly commended; Elise – won the category.
- Intermediate Greek Solo: Ella – highly commended; Emmeline – won the category.
- Senior Classical Reading: Sadie – highly commended; Danya – won the category.
