Berlin Trip

Year 9 and 10 dived into their History and German studies this Easter with an exciting and stimulating trip to Berlin!

As part of the IGCSE History specification, we study units on Weimar and Nazi Germany and the Cold War; Berlin has an immensely relevant history for both of these topics, as well as being a thriving and diverse modern European capital. They visited key sites, such as  The Berlin Wall, the Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate, Neue Wache, memorials, the site of Fuhrer Bunker, and Cecilienholf. They had a brilliantly enriching time learning all about life in Germany over the last 100 years.
