Guildford High School is an exceptional place of possibility. A place where a love of learning is fostered, curiosity thrives and creativity is unleashed. The moment you walk through our doors, you can feel the buzz, energy and excitement that encompasses life at GHS. Our corridors are filled with laughter, lively debate, and conversation. Our community is tight-knit; pupils feel guided and supported in our care. They become brave and resilient learners, not afraid to take risks or to aim high. Kindness and happiness are at the heart of all that we do. These are the key values which guide us and create an exceptional environment in which all can thrive.
It is a pleasure and a privilege to lead this outstanding community.

Why GHS?
A supportive environment
All that we do at Guildford High School is designed with our pupils in mind. We nurture our pupils as they grow up in our care, providing an environment of openness, trust and kindness, so that pupils feel safe and secure.
A love of learning and intellectual curiosity is fostered throughout the school, from the youngest to the oldest pupils. Our teachers encourage pupils to learn creatively and collaboratively to help them to maximise their potential. Our style of teaching encourages the exploration of ideas and the discovery of interests in academic subjects, music, sport, art and others beyond the classroom.
We provide a supportive environment in which appropriate risks can be taken with confidence and resilience developed. We are immensely proud of the responsible citizens our pupils become.
We are thrilled to announce two exciting projects as part of an ongoing programme of investment in our facilities. Our school is constantly evolving, inside the classroom and out and we are continually striving to provide our students with the best environment for their growth and wellbeing. The start of the Michaelmas term saw the opening of our new, state of the art, Music and Drama building.
We are also beginning a significant update to Morton House, our dedicated sixth form building. The new work will provide dynamic and fresh spaces designed to inspire students to do their best and strive for excellence. The ground floor renovations are complete and the sixth form students have already made themselves at home in the harmonious modern interior.
We are proud to offer an all-through education with our Junior School and Senior School. Each school has its own distinct personality and pupils join us at several entry points. No matter the age of your child, our experienced Admissions team will take you through the admissions process and be on hand to answer all queries you may have.
