HEAR THE ANGELS SING!

From the enthusiastic ‘Look Behind You’ sung by Year 3, to the sophisticated ‘Sussex Carol’ sung by all Key Stage 2, everyone played their parts to make the 2022 Carol Service magical. Alongside Years 3, 4 and 5 in Holy Trinity Church, we had our time to shine as we brought the story of the Nativity to life in our dazzling costumes. The wonderful sound of Chamber Strings performing ‘Rocking Carol’ preceded Year 6 processing down the aisle with our candles, singing our hearts out with the Advent Candle carol. What a wonderful start to the service. We retold the Christmas story with an array of beautiful poetry, prose and through some wonderful carols sung in English, German and Spanish. It was a magical night for us as Year 6 and for the rest of KS2 who all sang beautifully and helped us create the atmosphere of anticipation as we retold the story of the birth of Baby Jesus. With the tableau complete, the stunning angel banners behind us, organ music ringing in our ears, and a church full of smiling faces, we felt very proud of ourselves.
