Chamber Concert’s intricacies wows audience

The annual Chamber Concert took place on 26 February in the Recital Hall. This year five ensembles performed, playing pieces by Mozart, Hartmann Graf, Shostakovich and Schumann. It was clearly evident that the musicians were wholly immersed in the emotional depth of the music as they navigated intricate passages with precision and grace, captivating the audience from start to finish. Every individual player contributed to a collective sound that was both extremely technically impressive and emotionally compelling, with a level of musicianship that belied their age. These GHS Music Award Holders clearly enjoyed playing demanding and beautiful music, one to a part. Many thanks to the Miss Kimber, Miss Hill and Mr Bridgmont who coach the chamber ensembles, and to the performers – this was a remarkable concert.
