Eco Week at GHS: A Celebration of Sustainability!
This year’s Eco Week at GHS was a great success, bringing together students for a variety of fun and eco-friendly activities.
The highlight of the week was the GHS Eco Fair, where students ran their own stalls, sold handmade items, and hosted raffles, with 10% of the profits going to Surrey Wildlife Charity. In Design and Technology, students got creative with festive crafts, hand-crafting gifts which they also then sold at the Eco Fair.
In the library, a scavenger hunt had everyone on their toes as they raced to find book titles that completed a sentence, all eco-themed. The excitement continued with the Sticker Rush – where borrowing an eco-book earned students a special sticker. A recycled crafts session also provided a hands-on way to engage with sustainability, proving that creativity and environmental consciousness go hand in hand. Eco Week was a fantastic reminder of how we can all contribute to a greener future!
