Playful Pianists and Scintillating Strings

So far this term, the joy of live music has been felt by everyone in the Junior School as our Piano and String concerts kicked off this year’s musical events tremendously. The thrill of performing and sharing live music with an audience was once again upon us and the feeling was tangible.

Before the October half term break, the piano concert saw 49 highly talented girls share their love of Piano with a massed audience of their peers, their parents, and grandparents, playing with flair and style, showing the dedication to their practice routines and their love of the pieces they were performing.

Later in the term, the string concert concluded a very busy week, where girls from Years 3-6 performed an electric mix of styles to a captive audience in alike. The girls have mastered intonation, controlled bowing and are developing outstanding musicality.

Bravo to all the girls who have performed for us so brilliantly and thank you for treating us to some truly wonderful music. The next highly anticipated concert takes place in February during our Lent Term and we for one cannot wait to see how our budding musicians develop and improve their skills even further.
