Harvest Celebration – In Aid of UKHarvest

We have had to celebrate Harvest a little differently this year, but this has not reduced the girls’ excitement! Reception enjoyed pretending to be a farmer, singing about all the hard work of planting the crops, watching them grow and then harvesting them. ‘Pop Go the Peas!’ sang Year 1, with infectious enthusiasm; whilst Year 2 sang of their love for many different types of fruit and vegetables with a real Harvest ‘thank you’. Each fabulous Pre-Prep year group performance has been filmed and will be pulled together to create a Harvest Celebration video.

Year 3 worked incredibly hard to learn three songs with catchy tunes and some fun actions. They learnt their lines carefully and projected their voices beautifully to fill Christ Church for the recording of the narrative of the Harvest Celebration. Thinking about the vital work of the charity UKHarvest, the girls have encouraged us all to be grateful for the wonderful variety of food we can eat and helped us to reflect on the food we sometimes waste. What a wonderful celebration of Harvest this year.
