GHS and RGS Music Tour

GHS and RGS musicians have just returned from a hugely successful and enjoyable tour to Spain, where they performed in churches, cathedrals and in a beautiful town square as part of a larger music festival. The concerts – in Madrid, Valladolid, Cogeces del Monte and Alcalá de Henares – were all extremely well attended (one concert attracted an audience of nearly 500), and the joint chamber choir and orchestra performed to an astonishingly high standard. A local TV station even recorded one concert, part of which was broadcast the next day on its regional news programme. As the concerts were all in the evenings, the days were spent enjoying the outdoor pool at the hotel and enjoying excursions; these included a visit to Segovia, a day in Madrid, and visit to the Palace of El Escorial. Congratulations to all musicians on a hugely successful tour.

The post-tour concert was held at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford, on Friday and was a huge success!
